Spring School Holiday fun
Holidays are a great time to spend some time together with family and friends. Don't want to hear those dreaded words “I’m bored”? Check out some ideas to entertain the kids these spring school holidays.
1. Visit Bicycle Education Open Day
Monday 26th – Friday 30th September
Free School Holiday fun for the kids. Take your own bikes and helmets and a picnic lunch (BBQ facilities are available). This is so much fun for the kids with roads and traffic lights and crossings for the children to ride their bike around. The kids and I have spent many school holidays here and they loved it.
2. St Helens Park Skate Clinic
Saturday 17th September
At the new St Helens Park Skate Park and presented by Campbelltown council and totem skate schools. Give your children some skills at the skate park so you don't need to worry so much. I know I don't have these skills to pass on to my children so this is a great activity for them.
3. Pool inflatable Day
Thursday 29th Sep and 6th October - Gordon Fetterplace Aquatic Centre (Bradbury):
Tuesday 4th and 11th October - Eaglevale Leisure Centre
Wednesdays 28th Sep and 5th Oct - Macquarie Fields Leisure Centre
So much fun. Bring the kids along to the heated indoor pool for some school holiday fun. A giant inflatable playland in the pool at Bradbury Pools, Eaglevale or Macquarie Fields. Cost of pool entry only, no additional cost.
4. PJ Storytime

Disney musical - fantastic for the whole family. Can't wait to see this musical.
6. Seymour Centre School holiday fun
Keep your little creatures entertained this September school holidays with two wildly fun productions and a program of roar-inspiring free activities.
The Seymour Centre is a great place to bring the children with a leafy courtyard, large indoor foyers, café, public transport nearby and Victoria Park just across the road.
7. Taronga Zoo
Always a fantastic day out. For the adventure of a lifetime sleep at the zoo with Roar and Snore. Our family experienced Roar and Snore at Dubbo Zoo many years ago. My children still talk about how much fun it was and I loved it as well. We arrived in the afternoon, had a BBQ cooked for us for dinner and was then was offered a wine and went for a walk with the zookeeper and the rest of the roar and snorers around the zoo. We got up close and personal with lots of animals and went to parts of the zoo that were not open to the general public. In the morning before the zoo was opened we went with the zoo keepers to feed the animals. We loved it. A memory for the whole family. Wild Ropes is also now open at Taronga Zoo.
8. Treetop adventure park
A treetop adventure for the whole family. Combine this with a visit to nearby western parklands. I haven't tried this one. We tried to book on the day but it was booked out. Hopefully get a go at this these holidays. Friends of mine have been and their kids had a great time and came home exhausted. Different courses for different ages and abilities. Mum and dads can try it too. Its very popular so get in early to book.
9. Western Parklands
A place to appreciate the environment.Entry to the Parklands is free. They are open every day of the year! Combine this with a visit to Treetop adventure park.
10. Try the circus
Don’t watch the circus, join in the fun at Circus Monoxide. Kids love the circus, instead of running away with the circus, give it a try and come home exhausted at the end of the day.
